Congratulations Will and Ange

I jumped up and down and damn near cried when I got the call that these guys had an accepted offer. This journey was tough!

We started this house search pre-covid. We had an offer in on a house the week that schools started shutting down and we had no idea what was going on, jobs were being lost all over and we retracted our offer. Things got put on a giant pause and then we started back up the last couple months.

Problem was, the market had changed A LOT since those pre-covid days, and we were in for a very uphill battle in the search for a GOOD house. I emphasize good, because my goodness we saw a lot of garbage. While we had a huge lack of inventory to look at, it seemed a lot of the ones being put on the market had slants, cracks, and weird things going on. Not only that but the market had become incredibly competitive, even with these slanty homes going crazy over list price.

We were doing pre offer inspections so that we could put our best foot forward when writing offers, and we still managed to loose. Buyers were bidding so crazy high over list price. Some homes we walked in to do the pre-offer inspection and would discover that the home was a big nope within 10 minutes. Viewing homes we would often head straight to the basement to see what was going on down there as so many of them had issues.

We talked about not wanting to reach the F*$k it stage, that stage where you just offer crazy crazy over to win because you have lost so many times. We wanted to be sensible, but still win. When it came to this home I think we had the perfect balance of lucking out big time, and reaching a bit of that F*$k it stage. While that same night I had other clients loose out to homes that had 14 offers on it, this one only had FOUR!! We couldn’t believe it! Backing onto a park with a garage and 3 bedrooms, it had everything they wanted, and only FOUR offers!! We made sure that we wrote a solid offer and bid just that little bit higher so that we could clinch it, and we did! Everything always happens for a reason, and this home was meant to be.

Thank you Will and Ange for sticking with it! The two of you always remained so positive when things were so frustrating. I think you know how frustrated I was with the crap homes that we were seeing, but the two of you never gave up. You showed up to every showing dressed up and looking cute as can be with smiles on your faces. From that day we met for coffee it has been a delight getting to know you Ange and being able to see Will again (we grew up in the same hometown). In two short months you will be living in your new home and I couldn’t be happier for you!
