3 Serenity SOLD

This amazing couple has their bags packed, scuba gear included and are off on an awesome adventure now that their house is SOLD!!!

I love all the little bits of this journey. Our first discussion of selling started via Zoom, and then a few weeks later we set another appointment. In my head I was meeting at their house, in their head we were meeting via zoom again. Both of us panicked as I pulled up to their house and I realized I hadn’t communicated to them properly and they were in a panic that the house was “messy” (their words, not mine). We enjoyed a delightful meeting by the pool getting all the documents prepped and ready to go.

Our goal was to hit the market in July, giving them lots of time to prep and to line up a possession date that would work with them. When CMHC announced their mortgage changes we had a conversation about what could possibly be happening with the market, and if the worst was going to happen I wanted their home sold before July rather than hitting the market in July. So they sprung into action so that they could be ready if we needed to be.

While the worst changes didn’t happen they decided that they were in full blown selling mode and would rather just get it on the market early rather than drag it out longer. From there I too jumped into high gear and we got everything ready.

On the day of shooting the listing video our mic’s broke while in the house. Panicked I remembered something another college in L.A. did in this very scenario (oh the huge benefits of networking!), and we switched up the video on the spot… and it turned out PERFECTLY! It matched the sellers beautiful calm personalities and went perfectly with the house. I attempted an epic jump into the pool which looked exactly as it was, my scared “walk” into the pool off the diving board, and next thing I knew we had a listing video that was getting sooooo much attention!

We had a perfect week on the market full of showings and the normal aggravations of selling a home. From other agents who didn’t quite follow showing instructions, things being moved around the house, and a bathroom incident that will go down in history as one of the best texts I have ever received from a client.

On offers date I was sitting in the exact place I am now writing this story, in Mountain Bean on north Henderson. My stomach was in knots as we had no offers coming in. What the heck!! So I got to work, did my thing, and next thing I knew I was picking up 4 offers!

We reviewed them and one stood out as being the best. We assessed the risk of the home inspection and decided it was financially worth it. Through the next 5 days we made it through the financing condition and then the home inspection. Every buyer is different and these ones seemed to be a bit nervous which gave us an extra day of stress as they worked through their due diligence regarding aluminum wiring. From the campground I worked with these two through the ups and downs and got it all figured out. Thank goodness for technology and good cell reception!

You two are absolutely adorable, and as much as you might think you were difficult you truly were not. I enjoyed every text from you and being able to help the two of you as you set off on your next adventure which is going to be so epic. Looking back on this it was all so easy and amazing and it worked out so perfectly. Congratulations to you two amazing people!
