Congratulations Nicole & Daniel

When your clients text you and say “we have read all of your blog posts and can’t wait to read ours!” …… can you feel the pressure!!!!!

This journey started quite a while ago with our first conversation around searching for a home. We met at Thom Bargen for coffee both the first and second times to sort things out and begin to get organized. Juuuuust when they were ready to start the search Nicole had started a new job, which meant lenders weren’t very happy (new job = risk to lenders, especially when probation is involved) but we ended up being able to work some magic and had a lender in place that was ok with it.

They started out their home search fast and furious with us looking at 5-6 homes at a time a few times a week. We saw our fair share of “interesting” basements and sketchy homes. Homes that were close to being “the one” and many that just weren’t going to work.

When we first saw this one none of us had high expectations. The photos weren’t the greatest and after another that had lots of great lipstick we just didn’t have high hopes. When we walked in though it was completely different.

From the Harry Potter cupboard in the entrance we all started enjoying walking around. This home was old (built in 1907) but it was in perfect condition. The layout was amazing, the third floor was lots of fun, and the basement was one of the best we had seen. As we were walking through it all the boxes started being checked off and we knew we had found something good.

We still looked at a few more the next day before writing an offer that evening. We met at Stella’s, signed the offer and got the home inspection booked (which of course had nothing but great comments about the home)

Today was a hard day. I love to hug my clients and celebrate with them and it felt so incredibly weird to have to keep my distance and not hug them. I look forward to their June possession date when all is right in the world. We will host one heck of a housewarming party (ps guys, I want to throw you a party) and we will hug like crazy and celebrate this awesome couple and their first home.

It was a lot of fun getting to know you both better and to see your personalities work with each other. Nicole and I are a lot the same and Daniel is the analytical one, the perfect balance to a home search. The two of you are both amazing and I couldn’t be happier for you.
