My goodness, what a wonderful moment after sooooooo much prep work! I remember when I walked in for the listing appointment, and there was hardly anywhere to stand never mind sit. There was drywall dust and paint all over as she was in full home-selling prep mode. With the house being vacant I said we should really consider staging, and it was soooooo worth it! Structured wood floor means that you have a wood floor in your basement instead of concrete, and you have a crawl space underneath it. It is an upgrade when building, and they have huge benefits.
Benefits include warmer floors that are not as hard to walk on, easy access to install new electrical or plumbing and... my favourite... dryness! This crawlspace means that if there is any seepage it stays in that area and doesn't come into your living space. The sump pump is often down there as well, so water is either absorbed into the ground or pumped back out.
