Why is the market so competitive? Why are prices going up?
This is one of the reasons. We love the boomers, but they own a lot of homes, and they are staying in them a lot longer than we expected. While we thought they would downsize and go to condos, they are living healthier and longer lives and staying in their homes.
And with that, there is a lack of resale homes becoming available on the market, and that leads us back to the supply vs demand conversation. With a lack of supply and high demand, the prices go up.
It is interesting how so much plays into the market and how it behaves, and this is just one piece of the puzzle.
The final chapter, I am so happy for you with how unbelievably perfect this all came together. The two of you are such fun-loving people who deserve the perfection that we achieved.

It's hard to hear, but it is true. Right now, so many people are holding onto their home waiting for the true spring to be here, where we can see full blooms and beautiful yards....but the fact is right now that the buyers just don't aren't fussy about that right now. They simply want a house. There is very limited inventory and what buyers want more than a beautiful yard, is a home.
So.... if you are waiting, now may be the time to skip the landscaping and spring prep of your yard and instead get it on the market now!

Word on the street is that aluminum wiring is about to become the new knob and tube... and knob and tube is very tricky with insurance companies.😬
With that, you need to be aware of neighbourhoods that were built in the 70s and whether or not they have aluminum wiring.👀 Today, you may find an insurer that is fine with it, but in the following years, you will want to have money💰 put aside in case they mandate you to remove it or do other remediation.
We could be 5-10 years out, maybe more, but there are more and more rumblings that this is coming.👈
