The biggest problem with listing your home in the winter months in Winnipeg is how🌛fast it gets dark, and a dark home is not inviting.😬 And what is highly annoying is when a seller turns off all their lights, leaving a buyer to fumble through a home searching for light💡 switches in a place they don't know, so they can take a look. There have been times clients and I have had to shine our phone flashlights🔦 in rooms as we feel the walls and look for light switches.... and that is no way to say "hey, come buy me!" 🤨

So, turn those lights on; the extra electricity is worth it, and make your home inviting to future buyers this winter. ✅

After The Holidays Inventory Is At Rock Bottom

Right after the holiday,🎁 the inventory on the market in Winnipeg is at ⬇️rock bottom, but the buyers are on their phones, scrolling listings, and are eager to get started on their New Year's Resolutions🎉 and buy a home.

2025.... You were a rocky and challenging one! I am beyond thrilled to have cracked the top 100 out of 20,000 agents across Canada at Royal LePage, all while making our way through an incredibly hard year.

This year brought us some of the most challenging transactions ever that tested our patience and mental strength. We are beyond thankful for each and every person that we got to work with and help through those tough situations. These challenges have helped to push us and shape us into new people as we head into 2026. We have learnt so much and as much as we cursed it while going through it, I am thankful for every moment that we got to live through.

Thank you to each person who trusted us, that we got to laugh, cry and hug. We appreciate each client of ours more than you know.

I Love The Week Right After The Holidays

I LOVE❤️ the week right after the holidays, when nothing else is on the market, and we are one of the only homes for all the buyers to choose from.😄

It is the sellers that control the market,✅ and so when they all collectively decide not to list their home, it makes it very hard.... BUT if you can break away and get your home on the market before all the rest, extraordinary things can happen. 🙌

The biggest problem with listing your home during the holidays is having it look like.... the holidays.🎄 Your window is incredibly limited to get it sold because as soon as Christmas is over, if you have listing photos with decorations in them, you now look stale and dated.😬
